Bill Morrisey, selected as RAW Orlando's 2012 Visual Artist of the Year, is a painter and photographer who creates large canvases incorporating vibrant colors, abstract designs, and painted models. Amber LaValle is a photographer, artist, and model. Her photographic work has been published in numerous books, magazines, and advertisements.
After graduating from the University of Missouri, Columbia, with a Master’s Degree in Art, Bill served as Curator of Education at the Orlando Museum of Art, and later taught art at the University of Central Florida. Today, he and Amber devote their time to painting large canvases that integrate body painted models, creating truly ‘one-of-a-kind’ living works of art.
“Our pieces reflect a collaboration between the artists, models and canvas. Once we paint the model, she interacts with the canvas, and through her movements and body expressions, enhances the original work. The moment is captured and reproduced as signed, numbered photographic canvases.”
Bill and Amber's work is available to the public through limited edition canvas prints, privately commissioned pieces of art, live performances, and occasional workshops. They have performed at venues such as The Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, the FIU Arena in Miami, the JW Marriott in Cancun, and the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes.
